The Stanton Elementary School library has been expanded and renovated to meet the current state guidelines providing space for two seated classroom instructional areas, space for library staff, a/v storage and educational staff resources.

The new library design features a large control desk, a stepped ceiling over the reading room, a large circular window in the story area, natural lighting, indirect pendant hung lighting and bright cheerful interior finishes. A new ramp was also added adjacent to the library for building accessibility and an alternate for the project that and two new classrooms are planned for constructed the summer of 2006.

The library contains approximately 2,400 Sq. Ft. of expanded and renovated area. The future alternate work contains approximately 1,800 Sq. Ft. of renovation area and 2,000 Sq. Ft. of new classroom space. The library and classroom additions were designed to be built using a structural steel frame, steel studs and masonry veneer. Glenn Construction Company, Inc. was the program manager for this project.
